Steve Simmons has built a reputation on integrity, using common sense politics to achieve success for a variety of clients at state and national levels. Steve holds a bachelor's degree in communication with an emphasis in public relations from Mississippi State University.  

 

After a short stint on former Lt. Governor Amy Tuck’s staff, Steve was hired to represent the Home Builders Association of Mississippi. When Hurricane Katrina ravaged the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Steve acted as liaison between state officials and those tasked with rebuilding after the nation's largest disaster in modern history. Steve also assisted in lobbying the state legislature to better prepare for natural disasters in the future. In 2007, he was hired by the Mississippi State Medical Association to head their government affairs department and coordinate lobbying efforts in Mississippi as well as in Washington, DC.  

 

Steve left the Medical Association in 2010 to found the Simmons Consulting Firm, LLC.  Steve and his firm helped coordinate a statewide effort to elect more business friendly candidates to the Mississippi House of Representatives in 2011.
