GOVERNMENT RELATIONS

The heart of our firm lies under the dome of the Mississippi State Capitol. Our focus at the capitol is developing and maintaining relationships with key legislative leaders in order to maximize our clients’ impact on legislation. We monitor bills of interest during committee work and debate on the chamber floors, and we keep our clients informed in real time. We provide a permanent presence for our clients before, during, and after the legislative session.

ASSOCIATION MANAGEMENT

Simmons Consulting also offers association management services for clients. This includes performing the duties of an executive director, growing and managing membership, organizing Board meetings and conferences, basic accounting and billing, and other back office duties.

PROCUREMENT PROCESS

Simmons Consulting offers full service procurement analysis, action plan development, and implementation. We understand the process, we know the people making the decisions, and we have a long track record of successfully helping our clients win procurements. We know that there is much more to winning a contract than simply submitting a bid. We are able to appropriately position our clients throughout the process, which has produced a proven success record.

REGULATORY AFFAIRS

Simmons Consulting understands that many decisions are made outside the capitol that affect our clients’ businesses. Maintaining a presence for our clients during hearings, meetings, and regulatory initiatives is vital. These informative meetings indicate regulatory trends and future legislative action from state agencies that may affect our clients. Using all the information collected, we can better anticipate issues and prepare future action plans.

GRANT WRITING

In addition to legislative services, Simmons Consulting offers grant writing for our clients. We can help you find a grant that is right for your business, then work with you in drafting, preparing, and finalizing the grant proposal. If you already have grant writers on your team, we can assist them with the process, then help with filing the proposal.

MONITORING

If you do not need a full array of legislative or regulatory services, we offer monitoring services and can alert you if more action is needed. We will monitor proposed legislation and track it as it moves through the process. We also monitor Mississippi judicial opinions, and we will advise our clients of anything that may require their attention as they do business in Mississippi.
